If you were banned for "inauthentic behaviors," there is a non-zero chance that you were hacked

Wallpapers | May 24, 2026 | No comments

Because I was.I was notified on April 7th that I was banned for "inauthentic behaviors," like a lot of people in this sub. I submitted at least two appeals since then.Stated how I don't use bots, I post as myself, don't impersonate anyone, mainly only like posts. Got an immediate bot response saying, "Our automated systems have determined that a violation of our Rules did take place, specifically..." and with no actual reason being provided after "specifically." Same as most people.Today, after uninstalling and reinstalling the app, then running into an issue saying "Please use X.com or official X apps to proceed with log in/sign up" (even though I was on the official app), I went to login on Chrome. Got in and was able to actually see my own posts and replies (whereas I can't on the app).I checked my replies and came across three that were not made by me. One with a random reply under an Elon Musk post, another saying, "I share my real-time TRADE alert (entry & exit points) on WhatsApp, free to join...", and another providing a link to WhatsApp.So, it may be worth checking your post/reply history via Chrome (maybe other browsers work) to see if anything was posted that you don't recognize.Just submitted a new appeal, and so far (as of about 10 minutes, at least), I haven't received an immediate, automated reply. If it helps, my appeal was:"Hello. I have explicit proof that my account was hacked and accessed by another device. There were posts made April 7, 2026 that were not by me. Shortly after, I had received an email notifying me that I was banned for inauthentic behaviors.Unaware that I was hacked, I submitted multiple appeals. Only today, May 24, 2026, after logging in via Chrome (as I cannot see my post/reply history on the app), have I come to see replies under posts with a WhatsApp link and "TRADE" scam. Please look into this situation. I'd appreciate it if a human could look into this case. There is a clear gap in reply history between when I posted in February compared to when these scam posts appeared in April." via /r/twitterhelp https://ift.tt/dyjcrCY

Because I was.

I was notified on April 7th that I was banned for "inauthentic behaviors," like a lot of people in this sub.
